"Doing it in the dirt" as Ed Mulligan used to say.

Here's a couple of shots of B8/61 motorkhana-ing at Renmark and drag racing at Coleraine.These days the mirror smooth blacktop is mandatory for Easter sport. Don't get me wrong, I'll enjoy any of the surfaces. But I don't think a bit of dust has hurt this car, now for sale in WA for $75,000.

Actually Ed's most famous quote was "Rally Drivers Do It Sideways". He had t-shirts to that effect.

Ok John - if you are going to talk about rallying I have to comment! Best one we had in Sydney was from a tyre company who placed a sticker on your car when you bought rally tyres off them ......."Whats round and black and stuffs Goannas?- Toddies Tyres"

Probably politically incorrect nowadays but funny in the 80s.
