McLaren Vale Sunday 28th.

A day at Scarpantoni's Oxenberry Winery yesterday, enhanced by John and Penny's presence, still on their way home from Easter.
From left to right - the Hartney Nagari, the Moreau Mark 7, the Malone Mark 7, the Baxendale Nagari, the Trethewey Mark 7, the Schmidt Nagari and the Harrland Mark 7.
Photos from Phil and Scott.

That practice day again.

Phil took these shots.
Roger observing parking instructions.
Enjoying a free moment while their keeper was off getting a hamburger.
Dino unpacking his lunchbox.
We've got another practice day on Saturday, with the race the following day.

Another team member.

Our 6 hour team is now a team of 6.
1. Norm Clements -Nagari
2. Peter Mac - Mk.7
3. Dean Malone - Mk.7
4. John Harrland - Mk.7
5. Rick Wallace - Mk
6. Brian Deckert - Mk.7
Yes, Brian is the late entry and and this is his car.
A team of six is just so much better than five. Today we had a sort of strategy meeting and BBQ,  We even had Mallala simulators. Yes we're pretty serious.
Rick's car is ready.
As is Dino's......and John's
....and Pete's
......and I'm assured that this one is too.
Just have to move this stuff to get it out.

Studebaker Lark.

It's no secret that I'm a bit of a Studebaker fan. How about this lovely Lark parked in the pits when we were up there.

6 hour practice.

It's only a couple of weeks to the MSCA 6-hour relay race at Mallala. This year we have entered a team of 5 Bolwells comprising
                                  Peter Mac - Mark 7
                                  Dean Malone - Mark 7
                                  John Harrland - Mark 7
                                  Rick Wallace - Mark 7
                                  Norm Clements - Nagari
The other weekend we went up to the track to get a bit of practice. We're pretty serious about achieving a good result. Here's some photos of the day. The weather treated us a little better than the rather horrid day yesterday for the Sports Sedans. Anyway, here's a few pics.
Dean's and Pete's ready to rumble.
John's Mark 7, talked out of running that day because he had just installed a newly rebuilt diff that needed to be carefully run in.
Phil's and Roger's 7s hiding behind Peter's.
Those big fat tyres of Phil's.
Roger's, Phil's, Pete's and Dino's.
Rick's Mark 7 having those shifting engine mounts dealt with.
In the Phil and Roger corner.
Peter's in front, Dino's behind.
Biggest improvement of the day was Peter Mac who went from 1.45s to 1.36s. Steady as she goes.

Mallala

This is Mallala during WW2. The township is at the left rear. It really wasn't all that long ago that there was still a hangar in the centre of the track. The Mallala Museum have lots of good photos.

DB3S

Pretending to be a Buchanan.

This is awful news.

For those who haven't heard, Gary Allen passed away today. I feel dreadful after hearing this, so how must his close friends and family be feeling. Love to you all.

Air Cond.

Just when you thought JH had enough gadgets in his Bolly, he's now fitted air conditioning. It's a very old under-dash job from a very old Statesman but it's very affective.
Running out of room under the bonnet now though.
